The big news for the month is the entry of Neptune into Pisces.
Any outer planet changing sign is a big deal astrologically, but when they move into the sign they rule the volume is really turned up on their energy. Neptune dipped its toe into Pisces for 3 months mid last year but this time it’s here to stay until 2025.
Much has been written about its effect, many Astrologers gear toward a rebirth in spirituality with people seeking refuge from the harshness of the world today by trying to unite, becoming more accepting, compassionate and sharing. Others have mentioned that the world may immerse itself deeper into its troubles and lose the plot completely. These are both extreme ends of the Neptune in Pisces energy and how it will play out of course will be very difficult to predict. The interesting thing is we are being pushed to the edge by the Uranus/ Pluto squares over the next 3 years and Neptune in Pisces could be a catalyst with turning things around, particularly concerning the worlds addiction to ‘the material’ and people on mass may start searching deeper for answers.
On a personal level, those born on the first day of Pisces, Gemini, Virgo and Sagittarius may feel a strong need to detach or ‘let go’. You are being asked to release things beyond your control and find a sense of peace with this. Listen to your intuitive guidance for answers as it will be greatly heightened this month. It may also be a very inspiring time for creative or artistic types born on those days.
Saturn turns retrograde on February 8, back tracking though the last 8 degree of Libra until June 26th. For those born in the final week of Libra, Capricorn, Aries and Cancer you may need to review any goals or commitments or take some time to consolidate the ones you have already started. Mars continues its retrograde motion through Virgo that began at the end of last month. Here we see the ‘boxer pulled back into the corner’ getting coached for his next plan of attack. Identify what you want to go for and start to plan a way of getting it. It could have something to do with your work life or honing your skills but use this time to strengthen the ground work. Look at what house in your chart contains the mid degrees of Virgo for extra clues.
Venus sidles up to meet Uranus on February 10th, bringing the unpredictable into matters of love, money and artistry. It could be a time to approach these matters in a very different way, maybe try something new or shed a brand new light on them. This will be strongest for those born on the first 3 days of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn.
The Sun moves into Pisces on February 19th joining the Pisces stellium of Neptune Chiron and Mercury. This precipitates the Pisces New Moon on Feb 22nd. Here we see the dawn of the Lunar Month celebrating Neptune’s entry into its own sign.
The New Moon in Pisces conjunct both Neptune and Chiron brings with it the grace of spiritual healing. This will be the perfect time to mend any hurts whether they are physical, emotional or mental. At the New Moon open to the love of the Universe and ask it to release any pain, fear or dysfunction that are holding you back from being the best you can be and feel it releasing.
Always remember the planets won’t make you do anything. The choice is always in your hands. They will provide the wave for you to ride how you surf it is totally up to you.
